Workplace · Manual Handling Training

Training built around the tasks your crew actually does.

Not a generic manual handling module ticked off once a year. We build the session around your site’s real tasks, your real injury data, and the specific people doing the lifting.

The difference

Compliance training vs. training that changes behaviour.

Generic manual handling course Peak Physiology site-specific training
Content Generic lifting technique, same slides for every industry Built from your actual highest-exposure tasks, identified on-site
Who’s in the room Whoever’s rostered, treated as one group Named roles and named tasks referenced directly, not hypothetical scenarios
Delivered by A trainer reading from a compliance deck An Accredited Exercise Physiologist who’s assessed the task itself
Outcome A completion record for the audit file A completion record, plus a task-level view of where risk still sits
What’s in a session

Three parts, every time.

Part one

The task, walked through

We reference the site’s own tasks — the press brake, the valve, the pallet run — not a stock photo of a box being lifted.

Part two

Why the injury happens

The mechanism — force, posture, repetition, fatigue — explained plainly, so workers understand the “why” rather than memorising a rule.

Part three

What to do differently, and why it’s realistic

Adjustments that fit how the task actually gets done under time pressure — not an ideal-world technique nobody follows on a busy shift.

Best suited to sites with an identified high-risk task or role.

If you already know where your claims are coming from, this is the fastest way to act on it. If you don’t yet, a free risk snapshot is the better starting point — it tells us what to train on.

Know the task. Then train for it.

Tell us the role or task that’s causing concern and we’ll scope a session around it.
